Merkur eSolutions Malta Limited is a recent project connecting the land-based and online gambling worlds. As a full subsidiary of the Merkur Group, it brings together a number of areas of the gambling world in a first-class omnichannel proposition.

We are looking for a Compliance Executive (m/f/d) to join our Malta office on a hybrid basis. As a Compliance Executive the chosen candidate, who is to be detail-oriented and has a passion for laws and regulations, will be the person facilitating contact with the relevant gambling authorities for our business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Compliance Executive (m/f/d), you are responsible for daily monitoring/compliance oversight for several Group entities, as applicable/requested. 
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for (assisting with) the compilation and filing of reports to the German authorities.  
  • You will report directly to the Regulatory Director (m/f/d) and support with other work, as required.
  • Finally, you will be responsible for ad hoc tasks and fulfilment of queries from Senior Management, the Group and key partners.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Experience in AML/CFT, Fraud and Payments Management and the German gambling market over the past 3 years
  • Fluent in English and German, both verbally and in writing
  • Already in possession of relevant permits to live and work in the European Union
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other ancillary office communications tools
  • A good communicator who can work under minimum supervision and possess a hands-on approach
  • Ability to own and be responsible for the applicable areas of competence
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical thinking
