Role Purpose

Drive growth across KI’s robotics and automation portfolio by identifying opportunities, nurturing strategic relationships, and converting real business needs into scalable deployments. This role bridges technical capability with commercial outcomes, ensuring KI becomes the go-to robotics and automations partner for companies in Malta and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Map the Maltese market and target sectors (manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, retail, science/education, public sector).

• Identify high-ROI use cases for service robots, COBOTs, automation, and KI’s in-house technology.

• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned with KI’s strategic direction.

• Prepare opportunity briefs and coordinate feasibility checks with the engineering team.

• Lead first-touch conversations and on-site assessments.

• Nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders across industry, government, education and research institutions.

• Develop Commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, operations and finance.

• Build alliances with technology suppliers, integrators, distributors and local industry partners.

• Represent KI at events, conferences, exhibitions and stakeholder meetings.

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and achievable within KI’s capabilities.

• Collaborate with KI’s marketing team to develop case studies, demos, and content that strengthen KI’s commercial presence.

• Feed back market insights to shape product strategy 

Core Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Experience in sales, business development, technical sales, or solution consulting.

• Good understanding of automation/robotics workflows or the willingness to learn fast.

• Ability to simplify complex proposals into clear value propositions.

• Confident in presenting to decision-makers and guiding them through adoption steps.

Desirable

• Experience in manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial processes.

• Familiarity with service robots, COBOTS, or automation systems.

• Experience with tendering, grant funding, or business cases.

• CRM experience (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar).
