Trumia is a new-generation E-Money and Payment Services financial services provider, licensed and regulated in the EU. The Institution has set out to provide its clients with customer-centric and innovative financial services. It offers both consumer wallets and corporate accounts, driven by state-of-the-art technology to make its financial services seamless and beneficial to its users.

We are currently looking for Operations Officers to join our fast growing and dynamic team.

The opportunity to join the team at this stage in the Institutions’ journey provides for an exciting and rewarding experience.

The Operations Officer will have the opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment, taking initiative on day-to-day operations and supporting the Institution to achieve customer and operational excellence.

The chosen candidate will be supporting the Chief Operating Officer in managing the payment and operational activities in the Institution, and amongst other tasks work closely with other key functions within the Institution in day-to-day operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

● Steering tasks related to onboarding new clients and liaising with the Compliance department in relation to the due diligence process;

● Ensuring client accounts (consumer and corporate accounts) are set up correctly in the Core System in terms of products, fees and account information;

● Managing preliminary checks on client documentation / information in accordance with relevant regulations;

● Processing daily payments through our Core and third-party systems;

● Liaison with our Banking Partners on payments, queries and related issues;

● Management of the Core System client and product configuration;

● Monitoring of operational flows to ensure processes are being executed appropriately;

● Acting as a primary point of contact for client queries and escalating internally and to third party providers where necessary;

● Performing daily monitoring of customers' transactions as first line of defence in line with AML and CFT policies;

● Working closely with the Risk and Compliance Functions in the identification, measurement and mitigation of risks, including but not limited to operational risks.

● Assistance in the drafting of operations policies, procedures and guidelines;

● Management and upkeeping of the Client Knowledgebase;

● Assisting the Chief Operations Officer in ad-hoc requirements;

● Control and Execute manual transactions, in line with operational policies and procedures, on behalf of the clients;

● Other operational tasks as it might be required from time to time;

● Monitor, identify and propose new processes that will provide business improvements and cost efficiencies to the operations of the Institution and/or will support other functions across the Institution.

Requirements

● Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry;

● A Higher Education Qualification in Finance, Banking or in a relevant field would be considered an asset;

● Have an understanding of different payment methods and mechanisms;

● Good grasp of AML and CFT processes;

● Adaptable to master different financial systems;

● Experience with SWIFT messages would be considered asset;

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;

● Ability to work on his / her own initiative and as part of a team, and possesses strong interpersonal skills;

● A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards;

● Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
