Head of Strategy

Our client is a leading company in the Financial Services sector. They would like to employ a Head of Strategy to join their growing team

The Role

• You will lead the unit to implement goals aligned with strategic objectives by providing clear direction and vision
• Develop and articulate the organization's strategic vision, formulate and execute strategies
• Monitor competitor and market trends, engage stakeholders, assess and mitigate risks
• Evaluate strategy implementation
• Utilising stakeholder engagement strategies and relationship-building skills to maintain close
  relationships with the strategy senior management, and executives, ensuring alignment with and support
  for the strategic plan
• You will set challenging goals, assigning duties based on competencies, and developing effective work plans
• You will plan, organize, and distribute assignments to achieve unit objectives
• Motivate employees, manage performance appraisals, facilitate employee development, and ensure effective communication within the unit and group
• Manage and coordinate unit operations, investigates needs and problems, and contribute to operational improvements
• Monitor financial matters, set budgets, develop financial plans, and ensure financial targets are met
• Act as a technical reference point, making sound decisions and solving problems using logic, analysis, and expertise

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills in business risk assessment, change management, competitive market analysis, financial analysis, performance metrics evaluation, stakeholder engagement strategies, strategic planning principles, and visionary leadership.
• Possesses analytical thinking, conflict resolution, continuous improvement orientation, effective communication, project management, and relationship-building skills
• Exhibits a highly responsible attitude, strong work ethics, and willingness to stay updated in relevant areas
• Have a tertiary degree in market research, financial analysis &/or strategy
• Must have Banking &/or Financial Services experience
