Front Office Agent

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Office Agent to join our dynamic hotel team in St. Julian's. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. Your responsibilities will include guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, addressing inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Reception & Check-In/Check-Out: Welcome guests upon arrival, efficiently process check-ins and check-outs, and provide necessary information about the hotel and its amenities.
• Reservations Management: Handle reservations via phone, email, and walk-ins, ensuring accurate booking details and confirmations.
• Guest Inquiries & Assistance: Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally, providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options.
• Billing & Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments, manage billing inquiries, and maintain financial records in accordance with hotel policies.
• Communication & Coordination: Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolved swiftly.
• Security & Safety: Monitor guest access, ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises, and report any incidents or irregularities to management.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate guest records, prepare daily reports, and perform other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role within the hospitality industry. Experience with Opera PMS is required.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in hotel management software (Opera PMS preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
