Senior Client Accountant (Marine)

Asset V Crewing Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
We are an established crewing and yacht management firm in Malta, looking for a Senior Client Accountant to join our teams.

The main responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for the yacht and ship registration, and the financial administration of yachts
• Technical advisor to the team members
• Planning and scheduling of work and delegation of accounting and VAT work between team members and external consultants and setting respective deadlines
• Overseeing the work carried out by the accounting team and assisting where necessary
• Oversee and assist with the production and processing of payments using online banking and payment files for salary payments/liabilities
• Cost control falling under the yacht manager’s responsibility and billing for such projects
• Onboarding and management of clients
• Review of VAT returns prepared by the team
• Preparation of management accounts
• Liaising directly with clients and external consultants
• Closing off accounts and carrying out year-end procedures prior to the audit
• Coordinating effectively with other teams within the firm.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in yachting matters and ship registration
• Good knowledge and experience in Malta VAT and Tax Law
• Excellent communication in both written and spoken English, and the ability to communicate in Italian will be considered an asset.

Education and Experience:

• Fully qualified and warranted Accountant.
