Financial Controller

A local company is currently on the lookout for a Financial Controller to join their team

Duties include: 

• Managing the accounts department
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial documents produced by the accounting department staff including sales invoices and debtors statements, purchase orders and remittance advices, etc
• Preparing comprehensive management accounts on a monthly basis
• Preparing VAT and any other legal returns and dealing with relevant authorities
• Monitor cash flow
• Deal with day-to-day banking requirements
• Preparing annual budgets and forecasts based on the expectations of the directors  
• Control all costs in relation to the budget 
• Generally monitoring the performance of the business including the achievement of sales targets, profitability and the effective utilisation of resources
• Liaise with the statutory auditors

• Minimum of 3/4 years of experience in an Accounting function
• Team management skills
• Fluency in Maltese and English is a must

• Fully Qualified through ACCA or similar
