About The Role

As a Senior Accountant you will join a growing team responsible for providing an efficient and qualitative service to a portfolio of assigned clients. You will work in accordance with Maltese Accounting and Tax legislation, as well as in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing client's accounts leading up to management accounts for a portfolio of clients

• Prepare and Submit VAT Returns

• Prepare and Submit Tax Returns

• Prepare and Submit Payroll Reports

• Follow internal controls and procedures

• Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions where necessary

• Liaise with external auditors

• Assist clients with applications for tax refunds

• Manage fiscal unit obligations 

About You

Ideally, you are meeting the following criteria:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting

• Qualified accountant or within one year of completing ACCA or Accountancy degree

• Good knowledge and experience in Malta VAT and Tax Law 

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Proven ability to work with deadlines

• Good personal and professional organizational skills

• Ability to work within a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels

• Self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work

• Previous experience working with Quickbooks will be considered and asset

• Fluency in English, and Italian knowledge will be considered an asset.
