Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking to recruit for a full-time, qualified Accountant to provide financial services for different legal entities of the the company. This position will be responsible for performing the day to day accounting of companies in different countries primarily in the UK, The Netherlands, and Belgium. 

Duties include:

• All day to day accounting covering accounts receivable and accounts payable
•  Collating information for VAT and tax reporting purposes, handled by external specialists
• Process incoming and outgoing payments
• Bank reconciliation
•  Processing and paying suppliers’ invoices
• Maintaining prepayments, accruals and fixed asset registers
• Preparing monthly management accounts of the respective companies
• Reconcile inventory in the accounting system
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, with the assistance of local experts
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, accounting agency, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
• Maintain intercompany balances, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Ensuring consistent coding in line with the Group’s chart of account
•  Deliver periodic financial reports to management
• Assist on new processes and systems integration implementation
• Working hand in hand with the rest of the finance team to ensure alignment in way of working

Requirements

• At least 3 or more years of experience in handling accounts, audit experience deemed an asset
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is an asset
• Must be fully locally qualified
• Excellent communication in English
• Local experience is required
• Willingness to travel when required
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
