Senior Accountant

Overview:

Are you an experienced and qualified accounts professional keen for a new venture? Our esteemed client, a premier TCSP in Malta located in the centre of Malta, is looking for a senior accountant to join their multinational accounting team.

What is expected of you?

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction
• Maintain accurate accounting records for assigned clients in accordance with relevant standards
• Prepare and file VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts while collaborating with auditors as necessary
• Effectively manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Lead projects and ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as directed by management
• Act as the primary point of contact for team members, providing guidance, reviewing work, and fostering a positive work environment
• Assist in client onboarding processes and propose system/process improvements as needed
• Liaise with relevant authorities on behalf of clients
• Identify opportunities for business growth and development.

What are you expected to bring?

• ACCA qualified or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of two years' experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a CSP environment
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
• Proficiency in IFRS or local accounting standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive mindset
• Thorough understanding of Maltese VAT and tax legislation
• Demonstrated integrity when handling confidential information.
