Junior Accountant
Salvo Grima Group specializes in ship supply, travel retail, wholesale, and product distribution across Europe and worldwide. Established in 1860, we employ over 500 people in seven countries.
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team and assist with the day to day running of the department.
The duties include:
- Review and approve payments.
- Prepare performance reports and commission calculations.
- Manage payroll processing, postings, and intercompany recharges.
- Perform bank and VISA reconciliations.
- Process sales and purchase invoices.
- Support budgeting, VAT compliance, and month end accounting activities.
- Coordinate transaction monitoring requests and insurance claims.
- Assist and supporting the Accounts Officer.
- Supporting the Operations, Sales, and Procurement teams.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Minimum A level in Accounting/Partially ACCA qualified (up to F4 level)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise routine tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
