Junior Accountant

An international manufacturing company whose finance team is based in Malta is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to manage their day-to-day accounting. The chosen candidate will benefit from a supportive environment which provides all the required training to be able to independently handle accounts for some its entities within the group.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of timely and accurate financial reporting
• Perform cash and bank reconciliations
• Performing credit control duties
• Be responsible for the posting of journals in the accounting software tool and maintaining accurate accounting records
• Perform account reconciliations mainly relating to debtors and creditors
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts
• Assist during audits
• Preparing periodical and ad hoc reports as may be required from time to time

• Previous local experience in a similar role, ideally touched up on management accounts
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese
• Prior experience with Microsoft Business Central is considered an asset
• Accuracy and attention to detail

• In possession of an A'level in Accounts or AAT
