Accountant

Our client, an investments firm is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their finance team. The selected candidate will be actively involved in the daily recording of accounting transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and preparing journal entries.
• Maintaining transparent and eƯicient records of accounts.
• Preparing bank and other reconciliations.
• Maintaining the financial instruments ledger.
• Preparing quarterly VAT reports.
• Collaborating with the audit team to facilitate a smooth and eƯicient audit process.
• Carrying out daily and ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior members of the finance team.
• Providing support in various day-to-day accounting tasks to contribute to the overall
• achievement of the objectives and key results.

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ local experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of SUN Systems accounting software will be considered an asset
• Fluency in written and spoke English
• Be able to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

• Fully-qualified or in the last stages of ACCA or equivalent
