Junior Accountant

Pit Stop Service Complex in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The successful applicant will report to the Financial Controller and their role will include the following;

• Process and post invoices in the accounting system
• Prepare and process payments to suppliers
• Liaise with vendors and prepare vendor reconciliations
• Input bank entries
• Maintaining accounting documents and records
• General Ledger postings
• Prepare cashbook and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end related tasks, such as reconciliations and uploading of journals
• File documents
• Performing any other duties that may be required for the smooth running of the finance department.

• Able to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Highly motivated with good time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experienced in using MS Office Software, particularly Excel
• Preferably have a working knowledge of computerized accounting systems, such as Sage
• Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset, however, full training will be provided.
• Hold an Advanced minimum level in Accountancy
• Early stages of an ACCA Qualification will be considered an asset

• Salary is proportional to the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
