Junior Accountant

Job Description
Finex Malta Limited, a boutique accounting, and consultancy firm are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant, to provide support to the financial department on a full-time basis. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain clients' finances.

Responsibilities include:

• Posting and processing of invoices and journal entries;
• Maintain a proper filing system of all invoices both hard copy and digitally;
• Update accounts receivable and issues invoices;
• Update accounts payable and performs reconciliation;
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc;
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports;
• Assist Financial Manager with payroll duties, preparation of quarterly/yearly closing of trial balances;
• Assist in preparation of management accounts;
• Other general and administrative duties may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

• A Level in Accounting or in the first years of obtaining ACCA qualification
• Excellent organizing capabilities
• Great attention to detail and good with numbers
• Good understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting principles
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word and familiarity with Shireburn Financial Manager and Xero Accounting Software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
