Head of Accounting

Our client, in the Educational Sector, is looking to recruit a Head of Accounting to lead and join their team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Handling and preparing on financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Monitoring actual performance vs budgeted targets, variances and recommendations for corrective actions
• Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls 
• Overseeing the whole month end and year end closing processes
• Complaining and submitting payroll
• Performing account reconciliations 
• Analysing financial data, trends and performance indicators 
• Handling tax and VAT returns
• Supporting external auditors during annual audits 

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working locally in a similar role and industry
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Previous experience working with budgeting, forecasting, and implementation of policies and procedures

Education and Experience

• Holding a local warrant
