Financial Controller

Our client is a household name in the financial services industry. They are growing so they would like to engage a Financial Controller to join their team.

The Role

• You will report into the CFO and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial outputs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Analyze discrepancies in management accounts.
• Ensure proper recording and filing of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with auditors on regulatory compliance.
• Prepare tax calculations and VAT returns for timely submission.
• Manage finance projects and external financial reports.
• Maintain relationships with banks and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Group CFO.

• You will have 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Fully qualified and warranted accountant or nearing qualification of CPA
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and Solvency II is advantageous
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Can handle finance projects
