Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our client's Finance team. Apart from the day-to-day work, the Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the CFO and s/he will be preparing monthly management statements in a timely manner to allow the review of the company’s financial performance.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is Malta's leader in the Hospitality & Leisure sector.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively leading the preparation of the yearly budget and regular forecasts together with other department managers and the CFO
- Preparing cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information relative to upcoming and existing projects or business opportunities
- Acting as the first line of contact of the external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate preparation of the statutory audit
- Ensuring the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Group CFO and senior management as required
- Support the accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables
- Motivate and lead the members of the finance team on a daily basis.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Proven work experience in a similar position
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION:
ACCA qualification or equivalent.
WORKING TIME:
Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00 with 30 minutes break.
