We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our client's Finance team. Apart from the day-to-day work, the Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the CFO and s/he will be preparing monthly management statements in a timely manner to allow the review of the company’s financial performance.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is Malta's leader in the Hospitality & Leisure sector.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively leading the preparation of the yearly budget and regular forecasts together with other department managers and the CFO
Preparing cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information relative to upcoming and existing projects or business opportunities
Acting as the first line of contact of the external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate preparation of the statutory audit
Ensuring the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Group CFO and senior management as required
Support the accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables
Motivate and lead the members of the finance team on a daily basis.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Proven work experience in a similar position
Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent communication and people skills
Good organizational and multitasking abilities
Problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION:
ACCA qualification or equivalent.
WORKING TIME:
Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00 with 30 minutes break.
