Finance Officer

As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking skilled professionals to join our team and contribute to our continued success as a Finance Officer. 

Profile Overview

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Officer plays a vital role in supporting the finance team by focusing on the company’s overheads, ensuring cost control and accuracy, coordinating with suppliers as well as meeting both statutory and company deadlines.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily checking of purchase invoices to agreements or contracts in place with suppliers

• Posting of purchase invoices in the Accounting software and reporting discrepancies to the respective and relevant Department

• Keep the Head of Departments informed of any price changes, helping to optimise procurement strategies and control costs

• Following on any pending invoices resulting from the suppliers’ reconciliations

• Preparing the monthly accruals and job sheets logbook for monthly management accounts purposes

• Posting of invoices in relation to capital purchases in the Accounting software and Fixed Assets module

• Performing administrative tasks such as completing certain application forms regarding licences and permits 

• Assisting in spot checks during monthly stock takes

• Any other tasks commensurate with the role

Qualifications and Assets

• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience in procurement, logistics or administrative roles is a plus. 

• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is considered as an asset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
