FTIAS Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
Manage the end-of-month process, making sure financial results are accurate according to local accounting standards.
Deliver all month-end reporting to the required standard and time scales, including but not limited to: bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, etc.
Prepare monthly management accounts to be reviewed by the CFO.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform other ad hoc analysis and tasks as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
A qualified accountant with 3 years experience in a similar role or partly qualified (in the final stages of ACCA) with 5 years experience.
Knowledge of local VAT and Corporate Tax Laws.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of SAP (or other financial systems) is considered an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organisation.
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Has an eye for detail and adopts a meticulous and proactive approach to work processes.
Works with integrity and adheres to deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
