Our client, within the education industry is looking to recruit a Finance Lead to join their growing team.
Main responsibilities :
Manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations, journals, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, financial records, and audit documentation.
Lead the monthly close process and prepare management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheets, and variance analysis for leadership review.
Maintain cost allocation frameworks and provide financial insights to support profitability and operational decision-making.
Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial plans, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Implement and maintain effective financial controls, approval processes, supplier governance, and compliance procedures.
Oversee invoicing, receivables, and collections to support strong cash flow management.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisers to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Support audit readiness through accurate record-keeping, reconciliations, and documentation.
Provide timely financial reporting, dashboard metrics, and analysis to support executive and Board decision-making.
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Navision and/or Business Central is considered an advantage.
Minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
Education and Experience
ACCA qualified or actively pursuing ACCA qualification, or hold an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
