Client Accountant

Our client is a company operating within the accounting, audit, tax, and business advisory sector.

• Assist with the management of a portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring the timely delivery of accounting services;
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements under the guidance of senior team members;
• Maintain general ledger records and perform account reconciliations;
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting;
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other statutory compliance requirements;
• Collect, organise, and maintain client financial records and supporting documentation;
• Respond to client queries and provide day-to-day accounting support under the supervision of senior team members;
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and tax-related assignments as required;
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with internal procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

•  At least 1–3 years of previous experience in client accounting;
• Currently in the final stages of ACCA, ACA, or a recognised Accounting degree;
• Basic knowledge of Maltese VAT and corporate tax legislation;
• Knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) will be considered an asset;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
