Certified Public Accountant

Bajada Lyons Group is currently looking to recruit a Certified Public Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Apart from the day-to-day work, the Accountant will be reporting directly to the Head of Accounting and s/he will be preparing monthly management statements promptly to allow the review of the company’s financial performance.
• Actively leading the preparation of the yearly budget and regular forecasts together with other department Managers and the Head of Accounting.
• Preparing cash flows, VAT returns, and financial information relative to upcoming and existing projects or business opportunities.
• Acting as the first line of contact of the external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate preparation of the statutory audit.
• Ensuring the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Head of Accounting and senior management as required.
• S/he will support the accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables and motivate and lead the members of the finance team daily.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word 
• Proven work experience in a similar position
• ACCA qualification or equivalent
