Job Summary:

The Night Audit Manager oversees the night audit operations in a hotel, ensuring accuracy in financial records, guest satisfaction, and smooth functioning of overnight operations. This role involves supervising night staff, managing guest inquiries, and performing accounting tasks related to the hotel's daily financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the nightly audit process to verify the accuracy of guests and financial transactions. 
  2. Reconcile and balance all revenue and expenses for the day. 
  3. Generate daily financial reports and ensure all discrepancies are resolved. 
  4. Ensure accurate posting of all transactions to appropriate accounts. 
  5. Manage cash handling procedures and ensure proper cash controls are in place. 
  6. Maintain records of all night audit activities and transactions. 
  7. Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure compliance with hotel policies. 
  8. Assist with budget preparations and financial planning as needed. 
  9. Assist guests with check-ins and check-outs during the night shift. 
  10. Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and efficiently. 
  11. Manage and support the night audit team, including front desk agents and other night staff. 
  12. Monitor hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff. 
  13. Handle emergency situations and coordinate with security personnel when necessary. 
  14. Maintain and enforce hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or a related field. 
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a hotel night audit or front desk role. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting. 
  4. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. 
  5. Proficiency in hotel management software. 
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  7. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
