Assistant Accountant

Our client, a group of companies operating in the Maritime, Human Resources, Hospitality, Retail and Manufacturing industries is looking for an individual who will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by completing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• · Reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries
• · Maintaining accurate records of accounts
• · Assisting with the preparation of vat returns
• · Perform accounting duties up to the trial balance stage
• · Conduct bank, inter-company and other reconciliations
• · Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
• · Assisting with the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• · Performing other duties as assigned by the Accounts Manager

• Around 2 years of previous local experience in a similar position doing up to trial balance stage
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Ideally in possession of an A'level in Accounts or actively studying ACCA
