FTIAS in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer position.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming invoices and ensure that these are processed on time for payments
  • Check new contracts and set up vendor master data in both the reservation and accounting system
  • Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Check and process Customer Complaints and Compensations
  • Prepare payments as per suppliers’ billing agreements
  • Control of deposits to ensure that recovery of issued funds have been paid out and subsequently fully recovered
  • Respond to incoming emails from suppliers and other stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure the accuracy of the organisation’s accounts payable financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
  • Support the month-end process by preparing and providing supporting documentation for month-end journals
  • Report on Aged Payables plus other ad hoc reporting where applicable.


Requirements:

  • Advanced Level of Education preferably with a pass in Accounts
  • At least two years prior experience in a clerical role.
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Self-motivator and Team Player
  • Take initiative and ownership/responsibility
  • Innovative & Creative.
