Salvo Grima Group is a dynamic group of companies specialising in international distribution, wholesale, ship supply and retail in Europe and Africa. It was first established in 1860 and now employs over 530 people with operations in eight countries.

We are now looking for a full-time Accounts Officer to join our growing finance team based in Marsa, Malta.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Is a self-motivated all-rounder who can work alone diligently, and within a team; 
  • Is in possession of an O’ Level standard of Education: in Accounts or a similar subject;
  • Has previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset; 
  • Is Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Maltese, or any other European language would also be an asset; 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain financial transactions such as invoices, payments, and expenses;
  • Perform reconciliations of financial records, including bank accounts and cash balances;
  • Work with auditors, providing required documentation and support;
  • Oversee vendor relationship and ensure timely processing of payments;
  • Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including payments, invoicing, debtor control, and follow up overdue receivables;
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly closing;
  • Report accurately and clearly on activities undertaken;
  • Carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably required in this position.
