We are looking for a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Clerk. This role requires a proactive and results-driven professional who can efficiently handle bookkeeping processes. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform General Administrative Tasks: This includes handling administrative duties such as organizing files, scheduling appointments, answering phones, responding to emails and other related tasks.
  • Assist Team Leader and Clients in Maintaining Day-to-Day Accounting Records: In this aspect, the bookkeeper would work closely with the team leader and clients to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and documented. This may involve entering data into accounting software, organizing receipts and invoices, and assisting with any queries related to accounting records.
  • Manage the Bookkeeping Process: This involves overseeing the entire bookkeeping process, which includes managing accounts receivable (tracking payments from clients), accounts payable (managing payments to suppliers/vendors), bank processes (such as deposits and withdrawals), and bank reconciliations (ensuring that bank records match accounting records).
  • Invoice Postings: Bookkeepers would be responsible for posting invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner. 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • A Level or equivalent in accounting; additional accounting qualifications are a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with accounting software would be considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Maltese.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage. 
  • Maltese Language knowledge is a must.
