Accountant

Our Client, a boutique accounting firm who is dedicated to provide exceptional services to a diverse portfolio of clients, is seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team of professionals. The client prides themselves in delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring compliance, fostering the clients’ business growth, and building meaningful partnerships. 

Duties include: 

• Prepare and maintain management accounts for a portfolio of clients, analysing financial performance and providing insightful reports
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Compute and file tax returns, staying up-to-date with relevant tax regulations.
• Administer payroll for clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing while managing payroll-related queries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their accounting needs, attending client meetings to discuss financial matters and provide advice.
• Assist clients with audit proceedings by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth process.
• Communicate with the Malta Business Registry (MBR) as required, ensuring timely submission of statutory filings and other submissions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional client service, addressing any queries and offering support as needed.

• In a possession of an accounting qualification or in the process of completing ACCA
• Proven experience within a similar role within the accounting industry
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Maltese
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple clients effectively
