Accountant

We are currently looking to recruit an Accountant within our firm who will be responsible for maintaining our client’s accounting records.

The Accountant will be responsible for:

- posting and vetting of accounting entries;

- reconciliation of bank statements;

- maintenance of monthly accounting records;

- preparation of management accounts;

- liaising with auditors on behalf of our clients;

- filing, scanning and keeping up to date the accounting files of our clients;

- preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns and Recapitulative Statements;

- preparation and submission of tax returns;

- handling payroll for our clients including the submission of FS3s and FS7 annually;

- preparation and submission of monthly FS5s;

- assisting with any accounting-related matters for our internal companies;

- ordering tax certificates for clients and submitting DDT exemption forms; and

- any other task related to or ancillary to the above.

The ideal candidate must:

- Be in possession of an Accounting qualification (university degree, ACCA, or equivalent) and must also be warranted;

- have three years of experience in a similar role;

- have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken;

- develop and maintain effective relationships with clients;

- be competent in the use of standard office tools; and

- have good organizational skills.
