Accountant

Our client operating internationally in the tourism sector is looking for an Accountant to join their team

Duties include: 

• Reviewing of weekly payment run 
• Reviewing of bank reconciliations 
• Reviewing of sales invoices 
• Reviewing of payroll journals and upload files 
• Ensuring that all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled monthly 
• Reviewing and approving of month end inventory and processing in accounting system 
• Preparing depreciation, accruals, and prepayments journals 
• Preparing monthly vessel accounting 
• Communicating with vessel Hotel Managers and Assistant Hotel Managers 
• Obtaining a sound understanding of different VAT jurisdictions 
• Liaising with auditors during year end audit 
• Working with Peers at Head office, Malta office and Vessel team 
• Working on other reporting as required 
• Managing a team 

• Minimum of 3 years local experience in an Accounting position
• Ability to prioritise workload and delegate tasks
• Knowledge of MS Office software, knowledge of NetSuite will be considered an asset
• Willing to travel once or twice annually

• Advanced stages or Fully Qualified through ACCA
