Content Writer

With an ever-increasing audience, we are looking for a CONTENT WRITER to join our team. We require someone who understands the best techniques and systems to find compelling, innovative ways to tell the stories that matter most to our audience and who is proficient in MALTESE and ENGLISH.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Work in a range of roles across our digital and social media platforms. We are seeking people with skills in some or all these areas: writing stories, working with imagery and creating engaging social media posts.

• Write stories which will reach our ever-increasing audiences, this includes breaking news articles, live blogs, social media posts and SMS messages.

• Sub-stories produced by colleagues, ensuring they meet the highest editorial standards. 

• Work closely with the editorial team to deliver high-quality platform-specific content.

• Tailor content to our platforms to ensure all customers get the best experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

• An understanding of the different ways new audiences consume content.

• Demonstrable passion and knowledge for content writing.

• Strong understanding of editorial processes.

• Strong verbal communication skills: an honest, straightforward relationship with the editors in Maltese and English will be key to your success.

• Attention to detail when communicating with clients and partners.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure, prioritise multiple jobs as they develop, and meet deadlines.

• Creative skills to develop ideas, and organisational know-how to handle multiple jobs.

• You will be liaising with managers in both advertising and editorial departments. 
 

SALARY RANGE:
• Salary commensurate with experience
