About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Applications Implementation & Support Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Line Manager, the successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the full lifecycle of our ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions — from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, training, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to analyse, understand, and document business requirements, translating operational needs into clear functional specifications. 

• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable ERP and BI solutions, presenting well-reasoned options and business cases. 

• Design and implement end-to-end business application solutions aligned with customer business processes and objectives. 

• Configure, customise, and enhance ERP/BI applications, reports, and workflows to meet customer requirements. 

• Conduct comprehensive testing of system modifications and enhancements, maintaining appropriate documentation and evidence of test results prior to deployment. 

• Deliver user training sessions and develop supporting documentation, including user manuals, training guides, and process documentation. 

• Provide timely and effective troubleshooting, technical support, and issue resolution to customers, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. 

• Maintain and continuously develop technical expertise in the ERP and BI solutions represented by the organisation. 

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, product updates, and industry best practices. 

• Support the sales team by providing pre-sales consultancy, solution presentations, and product demonstrations. 

• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. 

• Perform any other duties relevant to the position as may be assigned by management. 

 

Requirements

• MQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within the IT, business applications, ERP, financial systems, or related industry in a support, implementation, consultancy, or technical role. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a structured and efficient manner. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Maltese. 

• Possession of a valid Malta-issued driving licence. 

• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. 

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. 

Desirable

• Hands-on experience in the implementation, support, or administration of ERP systems. 

• Experience working with multiple ERP modules and/or across different industry sectors. 

• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and finance-related business applications. 

• Experience with relational databases, database administration, reporting tools, and data analysis. 

• Experience in customer-facing consultancy, training delivery, or business process analysis. 

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and reporting solutions.
