Systems Administrator

Maltco Lotteries Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Systems Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis. You will be part of a technical team that administers and monitors our platforms, physical and virtualized infrastructure, network, and IT security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot issues within the company’s multifaceted systems and networks;
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user reported issues;
• Effective use of internal IT support ticketing systems;
• Maintain secure and highly available systems, infrastructures, and computer room environments;
• Monitor and ensure optimal networks, systems, and data center operations;
• Provision and maintain IT hardware including servers, computers, and laptops;
• Administer and manage Microsoft 365 tenant;
• Monitor and test backup systems, and perform backup recoveries;
• Collaborate with other team members on projects and day-to-day tasks.   

Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the above position should:

• Have previous work experience in an IT support role;
• Have a technical qualification in Computer Science, Networking and/or IT Security related subjects (e.g. Diploma, CCNA, LPIC, MCSA);
• Have experience with delivering and maintaining Linux and Windows Operating Systems;
• Possess problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Possess excellent internal and external customer-facing skills;
• Have strong organizational and analytical abilities and strong written communication;
• Be in a possession of a valid driving license;
• Be able to work well within a team;
• Be able to adapt quickly to new technologies;
• Be able to provide users with quality one-to-one training on new technologies.

• SIP/PBX systems;
• Type 1 hypervisors and/or container management.
