Technology is at the core of the knowledge-based organisation. It enables MFSA's strategic and operational objectives to be achieved efficiently and effectively.The Technology team leverages cutting-edge technology, industry standards and methodologies to provide reliable services to the rest of the organisation and the financial services sectors interacting with the Authority electronically. It is responsible for technology design, information security, development, integration and delivery of all information and communications infrastructure, platforms and services, working with technology vendors and partners.The Technology team is made up of professionals specialised in relevant areas that include governance and planning, infrastructure and service management, information systems, and security. Officials from Technology also participate and give their contribution in several European committees, expert groups and industry fora.
About the Role
The selected candidate will be a contributor expert in a team dedicated to the management of platforms that underpin MFSA's day-to-day operations: Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and the Authority's hyperscale cloud estate on AWS and Azure. This is a deeply hands-on technical role combining platform engineering, cloud architecture, and operational ownership of mission-critical services. As a Cloud and Enterprise Platforms Technical Expert, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
About you
We are seeking a deeply technical platforms and cloud expert with strong hands-on experience across Microsoft enterprise technologies and hyperscale clouds, the rigour to operate mission-critical services in a regulated environment, and the maturity to act as the Authority's technical authority on the platforms in scope.
The role requires an academic qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a relevant field at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 6 or higher, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC), or a widely recognised professional certification at an equivalent level.
Along with the aforementioned academic qualification, you should also possess a minimum of seven (7) years working experience in an area related to the role.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least thirteen (13) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
