Estimation and Tendering Executive/Manager

A leading building services company in Malta is looking to recruit an Estimation & Tendering Executive/Manager. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Directors you will be leading tender submissions for major projects. 

Responsibilities: 

• Report to Head of Engineering any issues at pre-tender application 
• Attend management meetings to update management team on department progress and discuss any issues on tenders 
• Leading tender team in preparation of technical submissions for pre-tender qualification and tender preparation 
• Review tender documents and summarize critical information 
• Prepare all documentation including method statements and other submissions 
• Compile and prepare tender queries and response to tender queries 
• Coordinate with tender team/consultants/various government agencies/authorities to obtain necessary information to facilitate for tender submission 
• Coordinate meetings and prepare meeting minutes during tender stage 
• Prepare and carry out tender presentation 
• Monitor market for upcoming tenders and to obtain information 
• Organise meetings with prospective suppliers and obtain quotations for tendering 

Requirements: 

• Must have an engineering degree or equivalent technical experience  
• Experience in project management of related projects is a must 
• Be proficient in English. Maltese and Italian would be an asset 
• Be willing to learn and take all necessary training as directed by the company 
• High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning 
• Quality Control/Assurance minded 
• Flexible in approach and with hours 
• Be willing to travel for work abroad for short periods 

The candidate's profile and experience will determine the level of the position and the remuneration package.
