Electrical Cost Estimator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Cost Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects within MEP works, ensuring compliance with local regulations and project requirements.

The role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to support successful tendering and project planning activities.

What You'll be Doing

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical systems, including materials, labour, and equipment
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to assess project scope
• Develop detailed and competitive tender submissions
• Analyse project costs and identify value-engineering opportunities
• Support project budgeting and cost planning activities
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Manage multiple project estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Maintain and update supplier pricing and cost databases
• Ensure estimates comply with local regulations and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience in electrical estimation, cost control, or tendering is considered an asset
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and installations
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with estimation software is an advantage
• Good communication and teamwork skills
