Warehouse Manager

Our client is looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to grow their team. Reporting to the Director, the chosen candidate will:

• Strategically manage warehouse operations in line with the company’s vision, values, policies, and operational objectives.
• Oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, distribution, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space and resources to maximize operational efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and enforce effective warehouse policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements relating to warehousing, handling, transportation, and shipping activities.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, security, and workplace organization.
• Manage stock control processes, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure accurate reconciliation with warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan workforce schedules, allocate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and evaluate team results.
• Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and develop warehouse employees to achieve operational excellence.
• Optimize route planning and delivery processes to improve efficiency and service levels.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure all warehouse activities follow best practices and company standards.
• Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive working environment across the warehouse team.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience

• Proven strong understanding of FMCG products and market dynamics is a must
• A clean driving license
