Warehouse Labourer

To support the efficient operation of the Packaging & Waste Yard by receiving, sorting, preparing, and disposing of waste and reusable materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, assisting with stock-taking, and carrying out general warehouse duties in accordance with company procedures and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• To receive, sort and stack waste and reusable materials in the designated areas within the Packaging & Waste Yard. 
• To prepare waste material on site ready for collection.
• To drain products meant for destruction and dispose of the respective packaging material accordingly. 
• To ensure that any waste is taken out of the Packaging & Waste Yard is done through the proper disposal method according to Company policies.
• To ensure that reusable materials are well kept within the Packaging & Waste Yard ready for use as required. 
• To assist during stock-taking of the Packaging & Waste Yard. 
• To maintain a clean and orderly work area according to standards and policies. 
• To drive company vehicles as needed both in and out of company premises if and when instructed by the Warehouse Coordinator. 
• To collect the waste generated by the Production department and the Purchasing and stores department on a daily basis and ensure that all waste is collected. 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Possess a secondary level of education
• Able to work under pressure 
• Able to read and write in English
• Basic Mathematical knowledge
• Attention to detail

Experience:

• Previous experience in a warehouse is considered an asset
• Driving Licence Category C is considered an asset
