A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Technical Storekeeper to join our Warehousing team within the Ship Supply department based in Marsa, Malta. The selected candidate will aim to ensure the smooth and efficient management of technical materials and equipment in the stores while supporting overall operational goals. 

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Motivated, smart and a good team-player;
  • Physically able to lift and transfer loads (approx. 15 to 20kg);
  • Literate and able to communicate in English, fluency in Maltese is an asset;
  • Having a forklift license/certificate is an asset; however, lifter training may be provided if needed;
  • Have basic knowledge of computer inputting and system use.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the receipt and dispatch of the technical goods to and from the warehouses;
  • Collaborating with the team to provide excellent customer service;
  • Managing the operation and maintenance of warehouses, including proper storage of goods;
  • Generating and maintaining accurate records of returned goods;
  • Ensuring proper storage conditions for technical materials to avoid damage or deterioration;
  • Handling specialized equipment in compliance with safety and operational standards;
  • Implementing best practices for warehouse layout and material handling;
  • Liaising with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issues related to deliveries;
  • Ensuring thorough knowledge on the technical items handled;
  • Participating in the general and periodic stock takes;
  • Ensuring that the store is kept clean and always organized;
  • Operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided);
  • Performing additional duties assigned by the Company as needed to support smooth operations and business activities.
