Shipping and Logistics Executive

Our Client, one of the leading companies in Malta, would like to engage a Shipping and Logistics Executive. Responsible for arranging and coordinating all shipments, both imports and exports, to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching optimal transportation methods with vendors and carriers to secure swift deliveries at competitive rates.
• Requesting and preparing all necessary customs clearance documents from suppliers.
• Planning and managing all import and export operations, including the return of empty kegs.
• Prepare and request all necessary documents required for Customs clearance.
• Following up on orders, arranging special delivery terms, and communicating expected delivery dates to relevant departments.
• Generating routine reports as instructed by superiors and preparing costing sheets.
• Ensuring timely unloading of goods to avoid demurrage costs and serving as the primary contact for warehouse import/export activities.
• Maintaining accurate records related to trading and shipment of goods.
• Collaborating with other departments and external parties to create orders, obtain approvals, and coordinate production, loading, and unloading.
• Keeping abreast of customs clearance procedures.
• Monitoring warehouse inventory levels to optimise space utilisation.
• Inspecting incoming goods and labeling them accordingly.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 0800hrs - 1700hrs

• A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
• A valid driving license
• Fluency in English and Maltese is a must.
• Experience in SAP would be considered an asset.
