Receiving Clerk

As a Receiving Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure they match purchase orders and meet quality standards.
• Cross-reference invoices with received stock to validate quantities, quality, and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming shipments, including packing slips, invoices, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with the procurement team, vendors, and other relevant departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to deliveries.
• Properly organise and store received goods in the designated stock room or warehouse, ensuring accessibility and efficient inventory management.
• Conduct visual inspections of received items to identify any damage or defects and report findings promptly.
• Generate reports detailing stock levels, discrepancies, and any other relevant information as required by management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding the receiving and storage of goods.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying quantities, prices, and product quality.
• Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or related industry would be given preference.
• Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, internal departments, and management.
• Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for extended periods.
