Our client, a Mechanical and Electrical Services Company is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing/Stores Officer to join their team. As a Purchasing/Stores Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of goods and materials for their company. You will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing and storage of goods.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Purchase goods accurately and promptly.
  • Keep order dates up to date.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and find alternatives as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in Sage or similar software.
  • Assist with inventory management through cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Collaborate with Stores/Sales Manager to optimize transport methods for imports.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, such as assisting in sales/stores during colleague absences.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Requirements
  • Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably within the HVAC industry.
  • Hold an excellent level of Maltese and English.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
