Purchasing Clerk (Gozo)

Our client in Gozo is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join their team and contribute to their Purchsaing and Supply Chain. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the ordering materials required for operations.
• Interact with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods and resolve any delays.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to support smooth procurement and delivery processes.
• Maintain the order book and expedite overdue deliveries to meet operational needs.
• Oversee the stock control of indirect materials to ensure availability and avoid shortages.
• Organize shipments to Malta, ensuring compliance with timelines and procedures.
• Support the management of non-conforming materials and rejected items, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Input data into relevant systems.
• Maintain an up-to-date freight log sheet.
• Handle the collection of post, including signing for and distributing post packages.

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable in purchasing and buying areas
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The desire for long-term career growth and development within the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Maltese is highly preferred.
