Pick Up Driver ('B' License)

Salvo Grima Group is a dynamic group of companies specialising in ship supply, travel retail, wholesale and product distribution in Europe and world-wide. It was first established in 1860 and now employs over 530 people with operations in eight countries.

We are now seeking a motivated and reliable Pick Up Driver (B License) to join our Ship Supply team on a full-time basis. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and accurate collection and delivery of goods from various suppliers to our warehouse, and onward to our valued clients.

The ideal candidate would be:

• Motivated, smart and a good team-player;
• Physically able to lift and transfer loads (approx. 15 to 20kg);
• Literate and able to communicate in English;
• In possession of a "B" license;
• Have a clean police conduct;
• Experience in a similar role is a must.

Duties include:

• Assisting in the daily Ship Supply operations focusing on the collection of goods from suppliers;
• Planning the route to take for collecting the list of pickups that is handed over with a view to collect items in an efficient manner;
• Collecting goods from various outlets to consolidate at the Company warehouse;
• Ensuring that the quantity of items collected matches the details on the supplier invoice;
• Inspecting goods for any price stickers affixed and in the presence of any, remove same accordingly;
• Notifying the relevant storekeeper about the goods collected and handling over the supplier invoices accordingly;
• Maintaining an accurate account of all documents and funds handles on a daily basis;
• Operating and maintaining the vehicle that the employee is entrusted with;
• Working as part of a team to ensure the highest level of customer care;
• Ensuring diligence and complying with Company Health and Safety Procedures, Quality Service objectives and following up on ISO related matters;
