Operation Coordinator (freight forwarding)

Our clients, a leading local freight forwarding company, are recruiting Operation Coordinator to join their growing team. Reporting to the department's manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the planning and coordination from initial states to final including communication with drivers, clients, and partners; monitoring of bookings, tracking of delivery, and documentation; and overseeing warehouse operations to streamline processes;
• Ensuring compliance with transportation policies and legislation;
• Ensuring all necessary certifications, permits, and licenses are valid, and provide them with appropriate instructions;
• Identifying operational issues, potential problems, and opportunities for improvement;
• Supporting business growth by assisting in adding new transport partners and developing existing ones, whilst enhancing solutions related to transport;
• Assisting in acquiring new customers and developing existing customer relationships;
• Promptly and accurately address all queries and requests, and handle emergencies outside of office hours as required.

• Strong attention to detail, and proactive skills
• Must be able to follow processes, make quick decisions, and be a problem-solver
• Must be able to work responsible independently and in a team.

• Proven experience in a similar role / field is a must have
• Any certification related to the industry or role is considered an asset
