Freight Forwarding Clerk

Falcotrans Ltd, an established Logistics Firm, is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented person to join the logistics department as a Freight Forwarding Clerk on a full-time basis.  

We strive to continue improving our team in this important area of our business. Good communication is a valuable asset for a Freight Forwarding Clerk, especially between the production, sales and distribution processes. 

Our key objective is to ensure that work is completed promptly in order to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. 

Main job responsibilities will include:

• Administrative duties related to documentation and invoicing practices 

• Liaison with other roles within the internal and external logistic departments to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. 

• Assist with the update of shipments and transit to ensure service excellence. 

• Ensure proper documentation is in place for the release of shipments 

• Preparation of pre-advice, notices, and delivery orders to clients 

• Follow up of weekly shipment manifest

• Liaison with clients 

• Liaison with Accounts department for payments of customs and shipper’s agency charges

• Any other tasks requested by management

Core Competencies:

• Knowledge and experience in the field will be considered as an asset 

• Completion of the ECDL will be useful, particularly when it comes to Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Office Package 

• Good knowledge of English and Italian – Maltese will be considered as a plus

• Eagerness to learn, capacity to work both independently and in a team, and dedication to uphold the highest standards possible

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Possesses very effective relationship skills to communicate and collaborate positively with clients

• Being practical, organised, and able to work in a timely manner
