Courier

A client of ours, operating within the Shipping industry and specializing in the international express delivery of documents and small e-commerce parcels, is searching for Couriers to join their team. Duties shall include pick-ups, sorting packages for delivery on specific routes and distribution of same.

Responsibilities:

• Package Pickup and Delivery: Collect small packages from the designated pickup points and deliver them to the specified addresses within the agreed timeframe.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic patterns, weather conditions, and distance.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to customers during pickups and deliveries. Handle any customer inquiries or issues promptly and courteously.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of delivery, recipient's name, and any delivery issues or discrepancies.
• Package Handling: Ensure packages are handled with care to prevent damage. Confirm the recipient's identity before handing over the package.
• Communication: Stay in regular communication with the dispatch team to report delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered during the delivery process.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained. Report any vehicle issues to the appropriate department promptly.
• Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including traffic laws and company safety policies.

In addition to the advertised gross basic salary, the chosen candidate will also benefit from an incentive of €0.75c allowance per delivery over 60 deliveries per day.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
• Valid Driving Licence (B1) with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with local roads, traffic patterns, and efficient shortcuts is a must
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Fluency in English is non-negotiable
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Prior local experience working in a similar role is mandatory
