Senior Python Django Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Django Developer to join our team in Malta. In this role, you will lead a team of developers, ensuring that applications are scalable, well-maintained, and robust. You will be responsible for translating client requirements into clear, manageable development tasks, setting project timelines, scheduling tasks, and conducting code reviews. Additionally, you will actively contribute to development efforts while guiding and mentoring the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the development team, providing technical guidance and support
• Ensure that applications are scalable, maintainable, and built following best practices
• Plan project roadmaps, set realistic timelines, and manage task scheduling
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and enforce best coding standards
• Actively participate in development by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Translate client requirements into technical solutions and break them down into manageable tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

• Must be based in Malta
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field
• Extensive experience in Python and Django development
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and software architecture
• Experience in team leadership, project planning, and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in code review practices, testing, and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical implementations
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with frontend technologies such as Bootstrap, React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
