React Native Mobile App Developer

Invariant Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a React Native Mobile App Developer to join their team on a full-time basis.

We launched pre-orders of our first physical product, the Ryder One hardware wallet, in December 2023, generating over a thousand sales to date.

About The Role:
We seek a talented and experienced React Native mobile app developer to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for working on our companion mobile application for the Ryder One hardware wallet.
You will work closely with our UI/UX designer, and engineering team, and collaborate directly with the CTO.

Responsibilities
As a mobile app developer, you will be responsible for:

• Creating UI and application components based on designs created by our UI/UX developer in Figma
• Working with native modules when required
• Implementing animations designed by our UI/UX developer
• Implementing business logic in our application
• Implementing communication logic that allows the mobile app to communicate with Ryder One over NFC
• Writing unit tests to test business logic
• Maintaining the application
• Reviewing pull requests from other team members
• Following modern mobile app development standards and practices.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in mobile app development, computer science, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile app development and React Native
• A strong portfolio showcasing mobile apps you created or worked on
• A strong understanding of TypeScript
• Experience working with native iOS and/or Android code for when native changes are required
• Experience making your code testable and writing unit tests
• Experience with git and Github: branching, submitting pull requests, and reviewing
• A careful eye for composability and component re-use
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English and ability to communicate over Slack, email, and live calls.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of web3
• Track record of open source contributions or public projects on Github or similar
• Experience working with mobile phone NFC
• Experience conducting mobile app user research and usability testing
• Experience with Redux
• Experience with Xcode and Gradle
• Experience with Expo
• Experience working in a remote team.
